Dragonfly Walk at WWT Martin Mere
Admission applies - please read below
WWT is celebrating all things dragonflies with our brand new Dragonfly Festival this summer. As part of this, join us for our Dragonfly Walks throughout June and July and get up close and personal with dazzling dragonfly species.
Dates:
5 June
19 June
3 July
17 July
31 July
With our knowledgeable team, explore our nature trail to our Harrier Hide, where you’ll get the chance to take part in a citizen science survey. How many species will you spot?
Then, you’ll head past our United Utilities Hide and towards our Rees Hide to continue your search.
Along the way:
- Answer the ‘Name the Anatomy’ and ‘Test your Knowledge’ quizzes
- Refer to our Quick Identification Guide to help you tell your hawkers from your chasers
- An optional shorter route for those who prefer a gentler walk (around half a mile).
- Using your blank data collection sheet track the species you see
Our Dragonfly Walk is included in our standard admission or free to WWT members.
