Horticulture Guided Walk

Join one our Grounds Wardens, Pip, for a few hours of happy rambling, learning about Slimbridge’s landscape and horticultural history. Explore some of our most fascinating trees and plants and discover our exciting plans for the future, on this beautiful spring walk.

Date: Saturday 11 April

Time: 11am - 1pm

The walk will begin with a brief introduction to Slimbridge’s site and safety before venturing out together.

Pip has been part of the Slimbridge crew for over 20 years, and has many tales to share of the past and present, as well as our exciting vision for the future. Her wealth of knowledge about the landscape and its planting is extensive as she has seen it evolve substantially over the last two decades.

Come and learn something new about our magical wetlands world, whether you’re new to Slimbridge or an old friend.

No previous knowledge required!

This is a relaxed walk with lots of time to ask questions, satisfy your curiosity and expand your perspective of Slimbridge’s wider wetlands landscape and its horticulture.

Meeting Point: Patio outside the Kingfisher Kitchen

Cost: £15 per person (event ticket only)

Minimum age: Whilst we think this event is best suited to those 10+ you know your child best, if you have a young budding nature lover who would enjoy this walk they are welcome to join.
